Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we get from prospective players. We are a lot like a youth club team in many respects in both training and league play. The team is self funded without any aid from the University. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please contact Dan Jury at dtjury@gmail.com

When is the season?

Our season is in the fall. We will have tryouts during the first week of school (see tryout page for dates/times). Our season will run from then, through the end of October. Our regional tournament is held in late October or early November with the National tournament being held the week/weekend prior to Thanksgiving typically.

How often you train?

During the Fall season, we train three days per week.

We train twice per week in the winter between the first of the year and Spring Break.

We also train in the Spring, after Spring break and could potentially have a couple of Spring games.

What is the cost?

The cost typically ranges between $350 and $450 for the regular season. There is an additional fee if we make it to Nationals. Uniforms are also an additional $100 to $150 depending on what you decide to get.

The additional expense for Nationals will depend on the tournament entry fee, airfare or bus rental, car rental (if necessary), and accommodations.

What is the league season like?

We could have 1-2 games each weekend, starting after Labor Day weekend and continuing through late October. Many of the teams in our league are within Michigan but the conference requires us to play two games out of division which require more travel and potentially an over-night stay. The Regional tournament will require an over night stay in most instances as will the National tournament.
